Try one force restart only when the phone is safe
A frozen picture can sometimes respond to Apple's force-restart steps. On an iPhone with Face ID, press and quickly release Volume Up, press and quickly release Volume Down, then hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears. Apple's instructions are different for iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s or earlier, so use the steps for your exact model.
A restart does not repair impact damage or prove that a persistent green line is fixed. If the line returns, touch still fails, the picture flickers or the phone will not restart, stop repeating the buttons and have the phone evaluated.
Do not press, bend or peel the damaged screen
Apple's screen troubleshooting starts with a clean, dry screen and removing connected Lightning or USB-C accessories. If it is safe, disconnect the cable and remove a loose case. Do not peel off a protector that is holding broken glass together, and do not use glue, heat or pressure on the display.
Tell us what you actually see: one bright line, several lines, a black patch, flashing, missing touch response or a screen lifting from the frame. Also mention where the phone was hit, any liquid exposure and previous repair work. Those details are more useful than guessing the part.
