A Tamarac inquiry described a white line on a Motorola Razr Plus 2023. A line on the picture and a loose screen protector are not the same problem. I would leave the inner film alone, avoid pressing the fold, and get the exact model before choosing a repair. Pulling something off to see what happens can make the situation worse.
Stop using or charging a phone that is unusually hot, swollen, wet, coming apart or smoking. Do not press a lifting screen flat. If the hinge resists movement or there is debris between the halves, do not force it closed.
Leave the factory inner-screen liner in place
Motorola says the Razr family’s pre-installed liner is designed for its folding screen. Its current guidance says not to remove it yourself or add a third-party protector to the internal display. If it bubbles, deforms or separates, use Motorola’s service guidance to check the options for your exact model.
That does not mean every line is a liner problem. Tell us whether you see a raised edge or bubble on the surface, a bright line in the picture, a spreading dark area, or missing touch response. I would not promise that changing the film will fix a display fault.
Describe it without bending the phone again and again
Note whether the fault affects the small outside screen, the folding inside screen, or both. If you already noticed the picture changing as the phone moved, tell us. Do not keep opening and closing it to reproduce the problem.
Motorola cautions against lifting display edges, pressing with sharp objects, forcing the hinge beyond its travel, or trapping objects between the screen halves. Keep coins, cards and debris away from the fold. Do not use glue, heat or compressed air to try to flatten a bubble or clear a line.
- Exact model and year: Razr and Razr Plus parts differ

- Any drop, liquid exposure or previous screen work
- Whether the phone is backed up
Protect your files before agreeing to a reset or replacement
If the phone is stable and safe to use, check your Android backup settings and confirm the backup completed. Check photos and videos separately in Google Photos if you use it. Google warns that some apps cannot back up or restore all their data.
Do not factory-reset a Razr just to test a visible screen line. If the only copy of your photos is on this phone, tell us before work begins. Motorola’s repair process warns that device data is erased; read the instructions for the service option you choose. A replacement phone does not bring back files that were never backed up.
Check the service route before buying parts
If you may have Motorola or MotoCare coverage, check that first. Coverage, liner service and parts depend on the model, condition and plan. Phone Repair Guy does not decide Motorola’s warranty eligibility.
For an independent evaluation, send the exact model and symptoms to your nearest PRG store. We need to check the phone and part availability before confirming a repair or price. A line alone does not establish a board fault or a need for micro-soldering. Keep your PIN, account password and verification codes out of the quote form.

Common questions
Can I peel off a bubbling Razr inner-screen protector?
Motorola says not to remove the pre-installed liner yourself. Check its service options for your model if the liner bubbles, deforms or separates.
Will a new screen protector fix a white line?
Not necessarily. A surface-film problem and a fault in the displayed picture need different evaluation. Do not press, peel or repeatedly fold the screen to test it.
Should I reset a Razr before a screen evaluation?
Do not erase it merely to test a line or peeling film. Back up first when safe, explain any data priority, and follow the instructions for the repair route you choose.
