A new Davie appointment request mentioned a Galaxy S25 Ultra with a cracked screen and camera damage. When somebody says the camera is broken, I first separate the outside cover glass from what the camera is doing. The glass may be cracked, the camera may have a focus problem, or the impact may have affected both. Don’t press or glue the damaged area. Check only what is safe, back up the phone, and give us the exact model and symptoms.
Stop using the Galaxy phone if the camera area has sharp loose glass, the phone is unusually hot or swollen, the frame is open, or liquid reached the damaged area. Don’t press the phone closed. Keep it away from moisture and call a store for a safe next step.
Camera-cover glass and the camera are different parts
The clear glass over a rear camera can crack while the Camera app still opens. That does not confirm the camera itself is healthy. A hard impact can also affect focus, stabilization, the flash or the picture. I would not promise a glass-only repair until we inspect the exact model and damage.
Tell us which camera area is damaged, whether glass is missing, and whether you see blur, spots, shaking, a black preview or a focus problem. Also mention screen, back, frame or liquid damage from the same incident.
- Exact Galaxy model and model number
- Which rear camera area is damaged
- Blur, spots, shaking or focus trouble
- Whether each zoom level works
- Whether the flash works
- Any screen, back, frame or liquid damage
Don’t press, polish or glue the damaged area
Keep your fingers and pressure away from cracked camera glass. Don’t scrape it, peel it, add household glue or rub it with an abrasive cleaner. Those steps can move loose pieces or push debris and moisture toward the camera opening.
Samsung recommends a soft, dry microfiber or lint-free cloth for an intact dirty lens. If the cover glass is cracked, loose or missing, skip cleaning that area and bring the phone in safely. A camera protector can cause blur or light distortion, but removing one is only a useful test when the phone itself is not physically damaged.
Test the cameras only if the phone is safe
Samsung says lighting, movement, distance, zoom, accessories and camera settings can affect picture quality. If the phone is safe and the glass is not loose, take one photo in good light and compare the normal, wide and zoom views available on your model. Note exactly which view shows the problem.
Don’t keep tapping, shaking or pressing the camera area to make it focus. Samsung recommends cleaning an intact lens, checking focus distance, resetting Camera settings and updating software for focus problems. Those checks can rule out simple causes, but they will not repair broken glass or impact damage.
Back up before camera or screen service
If the phone is safe and usable, make and verify a current backup before repair. Samsung recommends backing up first and explains that supported One UI 5 devices can use Maintenance mode to hide personal data during service. Maintenance mode is not a backup.
Keep your Samsung account password, screen PIN and security codes private. Don’t put them in our quote form. Tell us if photos or other files are the priority, especially when the phone also has screen, liquid or no-power damage.
Call with the model and exact camera symptom
Call Davie at (954) 669-9588, Tamarac at (954) 999-9662, or the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop at (954) 242-8277. Tell us the complete Galaxy model, which camera area is damaged, what the photos look like and whether the screen or back is also broken.
We can explain the next step after we know the phone and condition. Parts, price, timing and repairability depend on the exact model and damage, so I won’t promise them from the words ‘broken camera’ alone.

Common questions
Does cracked Galaxy camera glass mean the camera is broken?
Not always. The outside cover glass and the camera module are different parts, but impact can affect both. The image, focus, flash, stabilization and physical condition need to be checked.
Why are Galaxy photos blurry if the camera glass looks intact?
Lighting, movement, distance, zoom, a case or protector, dirt, settings, software or a camera fault can affect the picture. Test simple causes only when the phone and camera area are safe.
Can I put glue over cracked Samsung camera glass?
No. Do not put household glue, liquid cleaner or tape adhesive into the damaged camera area. Keep pressure and moisture away and have the exact model evaluated.
Should I use Samsung Maintenance mode before camera repair?
On a supported phone, Maintenance mode can hide personal data during service, but it does not replace a backup. Back up and verify important files first when the phone is safe and usable.
