If your iPhone has a cracked screen and the battery is not lasting, tell us about both in the same request. I would not assume that one replacement fixes both symptoms, or that both parts need replacing before an inspection. The useful question is what each repair would solve—and what the complete job includes.
Apple says not to use an iPhone with cracked glass and to stop using it if damage to the phone or battery is suspected. If the display is lifting, the phone is unusually hot or the battery may be swollen, stop charging it. Do not press, glue or clamp the screen down. Do not keep using a damaged phone just to collect settings for a quote.
Describe two symptoms, not two confirmed failed parts
Tell us whether the screen has broken glass, lines, black areas or unreliable touch. Separately describe the power problem: short battery life, shutdowns, charging trouble or unusual heat. Note whether the battery problem started before the drop or only afterward.
A damaged display and an aging battery can coexist. But a charging or shutdown symptom can have another cause. We need the exact model and condition before confirming the repair scope; a screen-and-battery request is not a diagnosis.
Share battery information you already have
For iPhone 15 and later with iOS 17.4 or later, Apple puts Battery Health under Settings, then Battery. It can show maximum capacity, a replacement recommendation and cycle count. On iPhone 11 through 14, the menu is Battery Health & Charging. Include a recent reading if you already have it; do not handle cracked glass to get one.
A capacity percentage describes battery health, not the condition of every component. Record real symptoms too. If the screen prevents access, say that the reading is unavailable. You do not need to guess a percentage or reset the phone before asking for an evaluation.
Ask for the full scope before approving both repairs
Ask which screen and battery options are available for your exact model, what the inspection found, and whether other damage changes the plan. A bent frame, liquid history or an earlier repair needs to be discussed before work is approved.
Request the total estimate and what it covers. Ask whether any diagnostic charge applies, how additional work is authorized, and what written coverage applies to each repair. Do not assume a combined discount, same-day completion or parts in stock. We confirm options and timing after checking the device.
- What problem is each proposed replacement intended to solve?
- What parts and any required finishing steps are included?
- What will be checked afterward—display, touch, charging and other affected functions?
- What happens if inspection finds another fault?
- What are the written coverage terms and exclusions?
Record repair history without guessing what a label means
Apple lets supported iPhones show Parts and Service History in Settings, General, About on iOS 15.2 or later. Share any existing message you already know about. An Unknown label has several possible explanations, including a part not functioning as expected or not being verified and linked; it is not a complete diagnosis by itself.
Ask what messages and functionality to expect with the specific parts offered. This guide does not claim that PRG is Apple-authorized or that any particular part option is available for your phone. Have that conversation before approving the estimate.
Protect the data and send one clear request
If the phone is damaged, do not keep testing it to make a backup. Tell us the last backup you can verify and whether irreplaceable files are the priority. Our separate backup guide explains the difference between a saved device backup and synced photos. Do not erase the phone just to investigate a screen or battery symptom.
A useful request is: ‘My iPhone [exact model] has [screen symptom]. The battery [what happens], starting [before or after the damage]. My last known backup is [date or unknown]. Please evaluate both issues and explain the full estimate before repair.’ Leave your device passcode and account passwords out of the form.

Common questions
Can I ask about an iPhone screen and battery in one request?
Yes. Include both symptoms, the exact model and when each problem began. Inspection is needed before confirming that both parts should be replaced and what the full estimate covers.
Will a new screen fix battery drain?
Do not assume that it will. Screen damage and battery aging are different concerns, and charging or shutdown symptoms can have other causes. Ask what each proposed repair is intended to solve.
Is a combined repair automatically cheaper or faster?
No combined discount or completion time is promised. Ask for the total estimate, available parts, required work and timing for the inspected device.
What if I cannot read Battery Health because the glass is cracked?
Say that the reading is unavailable. Do not keep using cracked glass or a potentially damaged battery to collect a number. Describe the behavior you already observed.
